Just a reminder, the CDC and WHO during the Obama administration told hospitals to stop reporting H1N1 cases.

Checking the numbers, H1N1 was more deadly for people under 25 than COVID is.

There seems to be an enormous amount of misinformation surrounding Covid-19. Do you think there may be an agenda involved?

I have literally been blocked by friends on social media for saying things like “thank god this isn’t weaponized smallpox” or telling them that the likelihood of dying is very low.

People WANT to be scared.

I think a lot of it at this point is that nobody wants to admit they’ve been conned. That’s a very difficult thing to realize, and it’s painful. Easier to live in fear, especially when the perception is that everyone else around you is afraid too.

Yup.

This is why cults can be so successful.

I heard a great quote from somebody who left Scientology - “you trap yourself.” Once you start buying into a particular extreme and false worldview, you have to excuse reality in order to stay in it, and you do it willingly.

People WANT to be scared

Spot on. This was evident at one of my son's baseball games. Every team we've played this summer has had none, or 1 at the most parents/coaches wearing a mask while watching.

Then he played the opt-in school in a very upper class liberal part of town. Every parent and coach wore masks the entire time. Kids wore them while in dugout. Even the coaches when they were >15 ft from the nearest person.

The same group of parents freaked out when a thunderstorm was over 15 miles away. None of us were going to let the kids play in actual dangerous conditions, but these parents/coaches were so scared, they were talking to the umpire at the mere sight of dark clouds on the horizon. And of course they didn't get out of their cars to warm up again after the storm passed until the game was about to start.

"Never a reason to regress liberties"

Not for any reason under the sun. Here we are 'the most advanced animal on the planet', yet our pets have more liberty than we do.

Disgrace.

Between msm and commie social media, people are just getting inundated with false and misleading information daily.

I learned something on TDW, and that is if you are over the target, the enemy will do anything to distract you from the truth.

There are actual outlets available who produce factual news.

Your title is misleading, the CDC isn't confirming an extremely low covid death rate, that's just an article title from technocracy news website. The data chart is just scenarios and estimating.

You want real info? Check out the CDC actual death numbers, and look at covid vs influenza. 135,000 deaths from covid, and like 6500 from the flu. Pneumonia killed more people than covid

The CDC is quietly putting out some real numbers so they don't look like complete idiots down the road.

'My' title is the title of the article from Technocracy News, verbatim. Please share with us the figures you wish us to know.

Ok here it is. It's not easy to find btw.

https://data.cdc.gov/NCHS/Provisional-COVID-19-Death-Counts-by-Sex-Age-and-S/9bhg-hcku/data

I'm not sure if that link works so I will test it after I post. But it's the provisional covid-19 deaths by age and gender up to 8/1/20

Look at the line for all ages. At this posting time it's

08/01/2020 United States All All Ages 142,164 covid deaths 150,095 pneumonia deaths 6,592 influenza deaths

PursuitOfTruth 1 point ago +1 / -0

Unless it's a typo, after thinking about this I have two conclusions:

  1. the mitigation efforts drastically lowered influenze from spreading and killing people
  2. people died of the flu but it was classfified as something else, perhaps covid.

I suspect it's somewhat both.

Of course, there is always the possibility of fake data.

Good grab. Worthy of archiving: https://archive.is/n5FEU

Also worth mentioning is that hospitals are being renumerated in the amount of $13,000 for a Covid diagnosis, and $39,000 to put the patient on a ventilator. With those kinds of incentives plus a lack of conscience, one can see one of the forces driving the numbers up.

1
PursuitOfTruth 1 point ago +1 / -0

Covid patients do cost more to take care of, so they should be reimbursed higher. But you are right, it will give any cash strapped hospital, which means pretty much every single hospital, high motivation to test patients and get that funding with a covid diagnosis. In hindsight I supppose they could have just increased funding in general with hospitals based on bed use. It would have cost more though, and the the covid narrative would have still been used anway.

War crimes and crimes against humanity, not to mention genocide and senicide.

I'm well aware that this sounds hyperbolic. Only time will tell. History may prove me wrong. The nurse featured in the following video is merely one of the hundreds of medical professionals to whom I am listening:

Check out the CDC actual death numbers, and look at covid vs influenza. 135,000 deaths from covid, and like 6500 from the flu. Pneumonia killed more people than covid

More like 65,000 die from the flu.

In a normal year sure. But this year I don't think so. I can tell however that your mind is already made up, without even looking looking at the science.

why post such an old screenshot? it's up to .0065 but still very very low. No reason to distort current events.

1000% agree. Cure in a different universe than the problem. even the up-to-date numbers from a flawed organization clearly aimed at bending the truth towards fear do not add up. clown world my friend.

It was 'updated' in July

To be fair the article is from may and the data quoted is April and before. This won't survive left scrutiny.
