As an aside, are the cops guilty of anything besides bad optics? They would have known that they were dealing with someone who is high -- they do it all the time. But should they have known that he had taken a dangerous overdose, and rushed to get him medical attention? Would more training have helped? Defunding, obviously, would not.

that is really sad...nobody should be punished or harassed for asking about what's going on. The cancel culture thing is really a terrible byproduct of social media.
Some people just want to be left alone, and not have to deal with being bombarded 24/7 with ignorance and malice, because we have to get some rest before we go back to work the next day...
