I'm new and learning how to use this site. How do you "follow" people who's posts interest you? Or can you do that? Can you "find" people you know or search for friends on the site? Sorry, if this isn't the way the site works but I'm learning. Love it so far.

This is not like twitter. you don't really follow people.
This site is just a never ending stream of posts and a discussions about said posts. people can upvote the posts they like with the arrow on the left. The most upvoted make it to the top. That's basically it. Think of it like a never ending stream of posts.
Just beneath the presidential seal at the top of the page you will see "hot, new, rising".
Hot is the most popular posts. New is as recent as possible. Rising is posts making their way up to the top. Top is the most upvoted posts of all time.
Moderators oversee everything here. they occasionally "sticky" posts so they stay at the top of "HOT". Sticked posts are highlighted in red.

Happy to help! This place can be pretty silly but some of us mean well.
You CAN save posts, but that will not allow you to "follow".
To save a post click "save" beneath the post. You can organize it by folder.
To be honest if I want to "save" a post I just copy the link and email it to myself.
Is there a way to organize responses and comments to a post? I notice they all appear chronologically but the responses don't show up under the replies in order?
