No. He was wide awake and was spazzing out. If anything he was having a panic attack from the meth. If you're under respiratory depression to the extent where it kills you (it didn't it was a heart attack) you'll be so groggy and not be able to speak.
It was the combination of the two drugs, him working himself up and atherosclerosis (clogged arteries). A stimulant like meth will increase your heart rate, along with the carrying on he was doing. The amount of fentanyl he was on would have severely depressed his respiratory system. A fast heartbeat+ slow respiration=death due to fluid building up in the lungs. Add a bunch of clogged arteries into the mix, you re toast.
I think he was in the midst of a fentanyl overdose. If he had drugs in his rectum, and the baggie burst, he was in the process of dying when the cops got there. The shortness of breath, respiratory depression, agitation, combativeness, mental confusion - all signs of an OD. Add a bad heart to the mix and the physical and mental stress he was inflicting on himself, I am not at all surprised this happened. I think the cops failed to read the situation, but they were too busy dealing with a combative suspect and didn't recognize the signs. He needed a shot of Narcan. I don't know why he kept his knee on his neck so long after he stopped struggling. All I can figure is he must have been suffering from tunnel vision, and did not notice the passage of time. He was probably somewhat concerned about the crowd that was forming. I don't know. That's why he needs a chance to explain what happened. None of the rioting and looting and murder that followed was necessary. And the media and the Democrats are guilty of inciting insurrection.
when people say that they cant breathe .. means they can breathe
Meth is a hell of a drug :/
I had a theory that maybe all the fentanyl was actually causing respiratory depression, making it hard to breathe

“Are you choking?”
“Yes. Yes, I am.”
“No you’re not.”
