You do not want them to consider doing their job. You "thank them" for doing what you expect them to do. For example: "Thank you for your prompt compliance in providing the requested documents." Nope. You do not want them to consider doing their job. You "thank them" for doing what you expect them to do.
For example: "Thank you for your prompt compliance in providing the requested documents."

I like to use, “thank you in advance for...”
Always makes it appear you’re being nice by asking when you’re really telling.
