This is the most important thing to remember. Nobody is getting excited about Biden, so their only move is to demoralize the right. And they're working overtime to do just that.

I want to win Washington or Oregon badly, just so we can say Trump's America goes from sea to shining sea.

My County is triple in numbers for Republicans. But then I look at State totals and it’s depressing. Bob Ferguson needs to go. Inslee needs to go. I know this is just Primary, but I was hoping to see them get lower numbers. F-ing Seattle!

Iosevus 11 points ago +11 / -0

I doubt it will happen, and if it does, they'll just recount until it goes in Dem favor like they did to Rossi.

I'll still vote though, it is my duty to oppose these communists every step of the way.

I'm afraid I'm not quite sure what this means here, and that might just be because I've been awake far too long today. Is this the vote for seats? Does all the red mean a bunch of blue seats are turning? Or does Jay win with 51%?

I see. And so by having many candidates, we fall victim to the spoiler effect and lose the seat?

15
ShrikeDeCil 15 points ago +15 / -0

"Top two Primary"

Inslee gets one of the two.

Someone else gets slot number two.

We'll be happy if slot two is a Republican. Yes. We can have two D's running for Governor in the General Election. We regularly have two D's running for Mayor of Seattle. (Well, it's "Non-Partisan", but they made that change because the D's came in third to the Green and Socialists in a Primary and decided they were done with that)

I'm outside Seattle far enough it's funny, but just ... wow. Such a pretty place run by such morons.

6
Unapologist 6 points ago +7 / -1

Thank you. So with our vote split something like thirty ways, and presumably not so many Democrats, we'll be sucking down the spoiler effect to lose the second seat?

10
ShrikeDeCil 10 points ago +10 / -0

It could be.

I don't have my ballot any longer, but WA is beyond effed up. They don't have to be any formal part of any party, they put "Prefers to be considered Republican" on their ballot. This means the R party can't say "Wait, no, he's not a Republican!" even and have that fixed.

Here's some of the ones I can recall from my ballot:

Prefers Democrat

Prefers Republican

Prefers GOP

Prefers Pre-2016 Republican

Prefers Propertarian

Prefers Libertarian

Prefers Socialist

I don't recall the Marxists, the Greens, Communists, "The Rent is Too Damn High Party", or some of the other oddities this year. But there were 36 - seems like there were other D's on there too.

But there was mostly four real R's, the leader being a guy whose main line is "Law and Order" and "That last gun law sucked" and not anti-Trump.

One got listed him self as the Trump Republican party if I remember correctly

Yeah, remember that.

"Pre 2016 republican," what a chump. No one is winning anything with that preference.

Ioxvm 3 points ago +3 / -0

My favorite was the "Congress Sucks" Party.

Looks like Washington State counties as a whole have been inching more conservative for the last 2 elections, but it gets ruined by the big coties. States need an electoral college dyatem, too, for more voter fairness.

13
ShrikeDeCil 13 points ago +13 / -0

We have a "Top two blanket primary". This is for the Governorship - but just the Primary.

There's thirty six yahoos running.

Inslee, the idiot we've got, has the name recognition and the only "real campaign" thus far.

Everyone else is really aiming for slot number two. (And a Sheriff basically running a law and order ticket is the likely number two, last I checked).

The map above is "Kinda normalish". It all boils down to whether King Country (Seattle) and (less so) Pierce and Snohomish Co (spread out from Seattle) are counting fairly at all, and what turnout is like, etc.

yeah well, in 2004, Dino Rossi won over Christine Gregoire, then he won over her in the first recount. Then, in December 2004 in a second "recount", after ballots were "harvested" from out of somewhere darker than Cthulhu's sphincter, Dino Rossi "lost" by 129 votes in "the closest gubernatorial election in the history of the United States". Dems were so drunk on our blood after that conquer, that by April 2005 mail-in voting was legalized state-wide and our ballots have been as good as toilet paper ever since... well worse because not as soft. Killary could barf out 3,160 ballots while completely passed out.

Que the "lost" provisional ballots for Inslee in 3, 2, 1 . . .

Desert_Covfefe 9 points ago +9 / -0

I'm surprised Pierce County is so based.

3
Ohgami 3 points ago +3 / -0

It's pretty based out by me. Graham, South Hill, Eatonville etc.

Ioxvm 2 points ago +2 / -0

Joint Base Lewis/McCord is in Pierce County also. Keep that in mind. MASSIVE military base.

Unfortunately it looks like the congressional race is not nearly as good news as this appears. https://results.vote.wa.gov/results/20200804/Federal-Representatives.html

Yeah, November should look about the same nation wide.

1
Ekiph 1 point ago +1 / -0

Unfortunately, total results show 649,074 votes for jay inslee, and 508,429 for all republicans.

Please for the love of God and all things holy, please vote in November.
