31 Ammonium nitrate, along with oxygen, and nitrous oxide, are not flammable or explosive! They are oxidizers. They help fuels burn. Often violently! Nitrous oxide is the laughing gas they give you at the dentist. Not explosive. Add fuel to any oxidizer, it becomes explosive. permalink save report block reply ▲ 2 ▼ – featherwinglove 2 points 256 days ago +2 / -0 Nitrous oxide. permalink parent save report block reply ▲ 0 ▼ – RufusPillula 0 points 256 days ago +1 / -1 Is non-flammable. permalink parent save report block reply ▲ 2 ▼ – featherwinglove 2 points 256 days ago +2 / -0 Can explode. Has positive enthalpy of formation. *GASP* Did you know that water isn't flammable either? It, too, can explode. permalink parent save report block reply ▲ 2 ▼ – RufusPillula 2 points 255 days ago +2 / -0 Yes, it can explode, but no fire. permalink parent save report block reply
