85% of the countries stored grain destroyed, entire import/export industry destroyed, ability to wage effective war against Israel destroyed......pretty interesting turn of events for Israel if you ask me....Didn't Israel just get done blowing up random military buildings all over Iran last month.....interesting indeed.

Oh and GEOTUS said it was a bomb.....nothing to see here folks move along!!!

We're Jews out in space

We're zooming along

protecting the Hebrew race

We're Jews out in space

If trouble appears

we put it right back in its place

When goyim attack us

We give 'em a smack

we'll slap them right back in the face...

We're whalers on the moon,

We carry a harpoon,

For they ain't no whales

So we tell tall tales

And sing our whaling tune

They all but admitted it look it up. They gave some sly ass answer that all but admitted guilt for the Iran "accidents".

There’s a journalist on Twitter who’s been all over a supposed group of Iranians that supposedly flipped and been giving up all the Iranian weapons locations since June

Gotta admit, that's some good structural integrity compared to the rest of the area.

Grain silos are EXTREMELY prone to explosions, google Grain Silo explosions and you’ll find tons. Over the years they’ve learned to make them some of the strongest buildings imaginable to contain most of the energy from such an explosion

Seemed like a good idea at the time.

10
Fremium2020 10 points ago +15 / -5

Why not?

Reports show that it has been there for a long time. Likely just left to "rot" because there was no way to move it.

It was an accident waiting to happen. Just like the one that happened in China a few years back:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=993wlZ6XFSs

Both countries are known for easy corruption and low safety standards.

Frankly it is stupid to ignore the obvious just because some cloak and dagger fan fiction is more fun to theorize about. This was just a total breakdown of professionalism that caught up with this irresponsible storage.

Hezbollah who controls Lebanon definitely would never use that stuff to make bombs

Agreed. They do love fireworks though, so they get a bad reputation sometimes.

Hezbollah don't really need old fertiliser, their overlords in Tehran provide the real thing freely.

Six years and nothing has happened. I've seen this same message 3 times now.

If someone wanted to start a conflict or take out assets in a port, it makes for a real easy target.

It also provides an easy explanation. Anyone suggesting otherwise is using"fan fiction."

Jaqen 4 points ago +4 / -0

The building was clearly on fire first and had been for a while.

Now, that fire could have been intentionally set, but nothing I can see indicates a bomb was used.

This looks like a lot of other industrial accidents. First a fire, rages out of control, eventually the chemical store reaches a critical temperature and pressure, then the whole thing explodes.

It certainly could be terrorism, and there are clearly motivated parties in the vicinity, but no evidence suggests terrorism at this point.

If anyone has evidence of terrorism, please share.

I'm kind of leaning more towards bomb now:

But at first Occam and Hanlon were my thoughts as well.

Look up Nevada Desert Rocket Fuel Explosion.

It was most likely stupid humans acting stupidly that cause this by storing volatile shit in the middle of a city..

2
DNC_Ballot_QATeam 2 points ago +2 / -0

Evidence of terrorism? You are a bit defensive and very focused on this topic.

I'm not here saying it was terrorism. I am examining the video and speculating a bomb meant to look like an accidental explosion is possible. We have people saying it was a bomb. People with info we will never possess. Yet we have armchair folks saying it's not because some Chinese explosion.

2
Jaqen 2 points ago +2 / -0

After looking more, it really does look like a bomb:

https://thedonald.win/p/GbyJ5vtv/massive-beirut-explosion--afterm/c/

The shape of the pressure wave does not look like what you'd see when the roof blows off a warehouse. We have plenty of industrial accident footage and this does indeed look different.

I'm just asking questions and trying to figure it out myself, thanks for replying.

2
Winston_Smith84 2 points ago +2 / -0

There is no conventional bomb with that kind of yield. 2.75 kilotons of ammonium nitrate would yield about 2 kilotons of TNT equivalent (2,000 tons or 4 million pounds of TNT). The largest conventional bomb I've ever heard of is a Russian bomb with a 44 ton TNT yield (88,000 pounds of TNT). That is only 2.2% of the Beirut blast. It would have required the simultaneous dropping and explosion of 45 of Russia's most powerful bombs without being detected. I would bet that Russia does not even have 45 of those bombs or 45 planes capable of dropping them. Of course, a small tactical nuke could do it in a jiffy but you can't hide a nuke explosion.

Jaqen 1 point ago +1 / -0

We know a lot more about the storage facility now, my comment was from over a week ago.

2
Winston_Smith84 2 points ago +2 / -0

Didn't notice the date. Did not mean to offend.

2
DNC_Ballot_QATeam 2 points ago +3 / -1

A fire was happening beforehand but the slow motion of the explosion shows 3 landmarks having detonation from underneath. They made sure their target was obliterated and used the fire as cover.

4
Jaqen 4 points ago +4 / -0

I hadn't noticed the detonations you mention, I'll have a closer look.

Still, the detonations you mention could be something other than intentional explosives.

Is there something about them that suggests they were intentional and not from some other cause like gas lines or smaller caches of stored combustibles?

Edit: going back and looking at more footage, you can see a number of smaller explosions going off beforehand, that look like munitions igniting and exploding, which intensified the fire and eventually set of the larger explosion.

2
DNC_Ballot_QATeam 2 points ago +2 / -0

The fireworks looks like the chemical fire explosion theory you suggest. There is no doubt that was on fire. The crazy part is the way people reacted knowing explosive content was burning and yet they kept on going like a normal day.

I thought about the gas lines and possible oil pipelines but that would create evidence in the aftermath videos. To me it looks like a fire was set to explosive material and bombs were set to locations around it and connected to the chemical to guarantee a big explosion and destruction of whatever target they were aiming for.

If we had 3 or 4 chemical repository with the main repository on fire with a big explosion...I would not expect the other 2 or 3 to blow up instantaneously. I am no expert.

It could have been an easy target or accident. One thing for certain, we will never know the truth. Lol

2
DNC_Ballot_QATeam 2 points ago +2 / -0

I don't know if detonations is the right word. I see a multitude of small explosions around a large one that seems connected from the view points shared.

Here is a good slow motion clip.

Maybe someone heard that it wasn't going to be sitting there for much longer.

4
DNC_Ballot_QATeam 4 points ago +4 / -0

Maybe some group needed to hide missiles, ammo, weapons, rockets and bombs. They felt it would be a safe place since it is highly explosive yet has been safe for 6 years. It's also the last place someone would think to look for a stash of weaponry.

This type of thing has happened several times the Morgan depot explosion in the US was very similar filled with conspiracy stories as well. The stuff is highly volotile and shouldnt have even been stored in that location.

If Lebanon sent troops to my neck of the woods because a race/civil war was going on, I reckon I wouldn't feel too bad about hearing their troops got blown the fuck up.

Perhaps America shouldn't always rush to send the military overseas to protect countries that aren't allies??

1
redpilledneo19 1 point ago +1 / -0

Here is the best part : It doesn't turn into a explosive until you add diesel fuel... it's called PRELL in the mining industry. have a nice day.

1
10MeV 1 point ago +1 / -0

I wondered that too. ANFO is ammonium nitrate and fuel oil. How explosive is just the AN without the FO?

1
worldofsmut 1 point ago +1 / -0

At high enough temperatures, ammonium nitrate can violently decompose on its own. This process creates gases including nitrogen oxides and water vapour. It is this rapid release of gases that causes an explosion.

Ammonium nitrate decomposition can be set off if an explosion occurs where it’s stored, if there is an intense fire nearby. The latter is what happened in the 2015 Tianjin explosion, which killed 173 people after flammable chemicals and ammonium nitrate were stored together at a chemicals factory in eastern China.
