Regardless of who invented it or why or when, or what people are pretending to claim about sex and gender now, the bald fact is that the way people use the words goes like this:
Gender = a word for "sex" when for any reason you don't wish to use the word "sex" to mean the status of being male or female
The word "gender" sounds more "gentle" and "genteel" (polite, refined, or respectable)
Also gender = the only term for whether a word in a given language is considered "masuline" or "feminine"
E.g., in French, the words for breast and vagina (le sein, le vagin) are both "masculine", because that makes about as much sense as words having any gender in the first place
Bisexual
BINGO
The admission that there are just two sexes
Of course there are two sexes.
