His full rant on Twitter:

So, in the last 48 hours, we have gotten the following covid news:

  1. We've reached the other side of the curve in FL, TX, AZ, and probably CA;
  2. T-cell memory is real and means a significant portion of the population can fight off the most severe covid;
  3. Hospitalized covid patients treated with convalescent plasma may have their death rates reduced up to 50%;
  4. NYC is experiencing nearly zero new cases or deaths.

These pieces of news will not be widely reported. Instead, you will hear that vast death is right around the corner, as per the usual. You will hear schools must remain closed. You will hear that the Sun Belt blew it. You will hear lockdowns must be reimposed. This is bulls***, pure and simple. It is not data-driven. It is narrative driven, it is bad policy, and it is absolutely political.

TheThreeSeashells 97 points ago +97 / -0

You forgot "You will hear that we can't open polling places and must vote by mail." That's the ultimate endgame in all of this. We see the failures of this in the primaries and see them as such. The Left sees those same results and thinks everything has gone according to their plan.

On the positive side, Flu cases are set to see an all-time low. Probably almost zero. Looks like we finally found a cure!

Since March, we have had almost no flu deaths and record low cases from a historical statistical standpoint!! Cool

6
TheThreeSeashells 6 points ago +6 / -0

Almost no suicides, no accidental deaths, no cancer deaths, no pneumonia, no shootings in Chicago or anything else. Only CCP Virus, George Floyd and Breonna Taylor. That's about it.

7
JuicyfearsMAGA 7 points ago +7 / -0

If trump is blamed for the covid deaths, shouldn't the media and liberals be glorifying him for curing all of those ailments?

I guess it's true, as they said, if Trump cured cancer, liberals would come out in support of cancer

4
TheThreeSeashells 4 points ago +4 / -0

This is why we, as a collective, should be running his campaign. Imagine the REEEEEING if he ran commercials claiming "Flu deaths, cancer deaths, motor vehicle accident deaths, etc. all decreased in the past year under President Trump's leadership." It would be legendary. They either admit it's true or that they were lying about CCP Virus deaths.

Trump literally reinvented the panedmic testing wheel in the United States within a month. He cut so much federal regulation that allowed not only testing to be done and sent outside CDC labs but also stocked up on HCQ with the Kodak deal along with pushing through vaccine candidates at record pace. The one thing hasn't been is hands off.

14
unicornpoop 14 points ago +14 / -0

And they are using the testing against us to keep schools closed. A billion new cases!!! Even though a papaya will test positive for the chinavirus.

9
CuomoisaMassMurderer 9 points ago +10 / -1

Negative. How many are denied HCQ? Most of the Nation. That's not exactly "hands on." How much good does all the testing do us? Little to none. It's pitifully inaccurate, just like we were told before we had any testing available. A Dr's diagnosis is better, once that Dr has any experience with this virus.

What DJT really did is got private industry cranking out PPE after Fauci had depleted it a decade ago, and also ramped up HCQ production. Which does us no good since we can't get it.

DJT is trying to not push HCQ due to all the backlash it gets when he does, and entertain the possibility ofd other things. A vaccine is laughable. HCQ in the right doses with the 3 medications that are "Trump pills" is more effective than any vaccine has ever been, and there's never been a vaccine for either a RNA virus or a coronavirus. If he's letting all this play out hoping for no ill effect, that's not being "hands on."

I'm not saying he could do better, nor am I trying to say how he could. Nor am I saying a more hands on approach could succeed. Just that this sucks, 40+ Governors mass murdering 135,000+ of us, and they're not done yet.

1
Basileus 1 point ago +19 / -18

Trump is very passive on the Narrative. Let's face it--there have been many problems with the testing and death reporting that has played into the media's hands.

He outsourced too much authority to Fauci and Birx, and they are still around. On this site, we openly criticize Fauci as a whipping boy because it's safer than blaming his ultimate boss.

There is no reason we can't open up now. The federal declaration should be ended, and economies opened up again. This is affecting interstate commerce and is clearly a federal issue. Ideally, there would be legislation granting businesses limited liability on COVID issues, but that may not happen with a divided Congress without a steep cost.

We also need a better informational campaign about how a vaccine is not going to be a silver bullet, and we can't wait around for it because we may be waiting forever.

HCQ may help, it may not--I don't know. I think it's more likely that the virus simply isn't that deadly and most people will recover fine, with or without treatment. Some people may not, but them's the breaks (like any disease).

18
Staatssicherheit 18 points ago +21 / -3

Trump has been one of the most active, if not the most active voice in championing the cause of re-opening.

A vaccine is basically an artificial way of instilling herd immunity without people contracting the actual disease. It was certainly a silver bullet for the polio virus. Are you saying it won't be effective at all? On what historical evidence or otherwise do you base your assertion on?

12
Basileus 12 points ago +16 / -4

There has never been a successful vaccine for a coronavirus. Most likely, even if it is safe, we would have to take a new one every year anyway (for new strains) and it would have no effect on a huge percentage of users

3
Staatssicherheit 3 points ago +7 / -4

Was someone actually trying to make a vaccine for a coronavirus before this pandemic? Why would they be doing that? There has been massively successful vaccines, actual silver bullets, against viruses including polio, hepatitis and measles.

PepesCovfefe 2 points ago +2 / -0

I elaborated below on your comment because I don’t think people understand:

My understanding is that cv-19 is in the same family as the common cold.

There is still to this day no vaccine for the common cold. The common cold is a corona virus. Cv-19 is just an iteration.

So when he’s saying there’s no vaccine for corona virus, he’s referring to all the iterations of common cold that are not this 19.

Correct me if I’m wrong here.

1
PepesCovfefe 1 point ago +1 / -0

One of us has our data wrong.

My understanding is that cv-19 is in the same family as the common cold.

3
CuomoisaMassMurderer 3 points ago +4 / -1

I think you've gotten downvoted so much simply because you don't know how well HCQ wiorks, in the right combination with two other meds and in the right doses. Most importantly, when started at the right time, which is as soon as you're diagnosed positive, no waiting 5 days for a test result.

15 years ago Fauci knew it works for anything like this. I'll give you two guesses why he says otherwise.

95-97.4% reduction in both hospitalizations and deaths when on "Trump pills," ass compared to the national average. The polio vaccine is the most effective ever, and it only achieves 90% after two courses.

Other than this one point I think you wrote a great comment. Although I'd like to see you flesh out what you mean by a "steep cost" with legislative liability waivers?

2
powershellder 2 points ago +2 / -0

The polio vaccine was so “effective” because they also changed the criteria for diagnosing polio when it came out.

Polio rates decreased, guillaine barre syndrome and non-polio accuse flaccid paralysis increased dramatically.

1
Scroon 1 point ago +1 / -0

This is true, and the increase in those "totally not polio" cases would take place in the following weeks to months.

I used to have a healthy skepticism about whether or not there was an actual polio vaccine conspiracy but after seeing how the COVID numbers were so brazenly manipulated, I'm thinking it's actually pretty likely.

1
Basileus 1 point ago +1 / -0

I honestly am not sold on HCQ--but if I got sick, I'd probably want it. I don't think it does any harm.

Regarding the steep cost, I simply meant that Pelosi's house wouldn't agree to pass such a bill unless it contained many poison pills, probably along the lines of extended unemployment benefits, PPP loans, and more stimulus checks. Maybe even more unpalatable things like voting by mail or amnesty measures.

I think that's actually a big part of the problem--we can't just pass common sense laws anymore, it's always got to be horsetraded with something absurd.

3
CuomoisaMassMurderer 3 points ago +3 / -0

You haven't seen the studies on HCQ. Added to azithromycin it's antiviral in vitro. It's a zinc ionophore. The only problem (other than screening out the risk for heart arrhythmia) is when you deny sick people medical care until they're half dead already. That's a level of tyranny not even King George engaged in.

2
PepesCovfefe 2 points ago +2 / -0

Not sure why you’re getting downvoted.

2
Basileus 2 points ago +2 / -0

I rub people the wrong way sometimes. Criticizing GEOTUS directly instead of his designated scapegoat (Fauci, Sessions, Priebus, etc.) doesn't help.

Plus, if enough people downvote early on, it snowballs as the thread rises. Oh well, I will continue to call it like I see it, which can be lonely

2
PepesCovfefe 2 points ago +2 / -0

See my comment trying to elucidate what you meant by the fact corona virus has never had a vaccine.

I think it’s important that we elaborate to explain what that means every time since most people don’t know that.

My self entitled asshole sister and her 2 kids are staying with me this summer, and I occasionally raz her with actual news / facts that undermine her deranged views. Her and her college aged daughter all summer have been shrieking and complaining about people they come across not wearing masks, not keeping their distance and arguing with me about why they think endless lockdowns are so important - until yesterday, when my niece got an email from the very expensive arts college she's going to that they're not having any in person classes at all next semester - and she just signed a lease and paid the deposit on an expensive apartment near her college. Now they're absolutely outraged, because it means it's an inconvenience for them. Last week my niece responded to me complaining about local schools arranging to hand out free breakfasts and lunches to students even though there's no in person classes, told me I was 'mean' - my reply was 'I have kids, and what I earn I go out and earn it to pay for what my kids need, not some stranger's kids - so now, tell me - how much of what you earned last summer at your waitress job did you donate to the needy?' Fuckwits are always quick to condemn everyone else, but then when it's time for them to step up and practice what they preach, they lose interest.

There is a difference between having the choice to wear a mask and doing so, and bring forced to wear one.

A huge difference.

2
jsnforce 2 points ago +2 / -0

9
deleted 9 points ago +18 / -9
25
TheThreeSeashells 25 points ago +26 / -1

He concedes small, insignificant battles (masks) to win the big battles (keeping the economy open)

That's flawed logic. Nobody has ever said, "Here's the deal: Wear the masks now, and we'll end the shutdowns and tyrannical overreaches on this specific date." Remember, this crap was only supposed to last for 14 days and be lifted once the hospitals were in the clear from being overloaded. They keep moving the bar based on their phony numbers. If anyone thinks concession on any front will be matched with an equal concession by the enemy, they're severely mistaken.

20
HotNismo 20 points ago +20 / -0

BINGO!

Instead we're being told "Wear the mask now, everything stays closed"

2
CuomoisaMassMurderer 2 points ago +2 / -0

This deserves to be discussed. I am medically exempt from wearing a mask. I've never used that asthmatic privilege, and it's almost never come up, yet. I don't know how much I'd gain (or lose) by going around as a 'great disrupter.' It could be fun? Getting in fights over it is the one thing my County Sheriff doesn't want to see, other than that he doesn't care.

For most people masks are not that big a deal, although I'm sure it sucks for everybody when it's super hot. The idea is to "put out the fires" as DJT put it. Granted, they're being like Lucy pulling the football away from Charlie Brown with this, but short of just killing every Marxist I don't see a way to make substantial progress on this front now. We already know the left doesn't care about facts or logic, and now they consider them racist.

So it seems to me that as an overall strategy to focus on bigger issues than masks is a good idea. If HCQ were available for all, masks wouldn't matter. I don't think we should push for OTC because then people aren't screened for heart arrhythmia. With the best screening, with a million people taking it we'd expect 400 deaths or less. (From taking "Trump pills" as designed, where azithromycin increases the risk of heart arrhythmia over just HCQ alone)

This seems like a MUCH bigger issue, and it deserves attention!

6
TheThreeSeashells 6 points ago +6 / -0

Masks are a symbol of compliance. That is all. This is why I and many others refuse to wear them. In New York they're threatening people who travel out of state with harassment and massive fines upon their return. So, all of a sudden it's not just just freedom to move about without compliance masks. It's freedom to move about a free country.

Downplaying ANYTHING cooked up by the Left is a massive mistake. Everything has a purpose. The masks aren't about safety. Conservatives can walk and chew gum. We can fight for HCQ (a point which we agree upon) and against masks.

The idea is to "put out the fires" as DJT put it. Granted, they're being like Lucy pulling the football away from Charlie Brown with this, but short of just killing every Marxist I don't see a way to make substantial progress on this front now.

Once again, I pose the question: Why do people think if we give in on the masks we're going to get ANYTHING in return? There are plenty of people wearing them now yet freedoms continue to be eroded, not gained. I would love to know exactly which "fight" you think we're winning by wearing the face diapers.
