If we can vote by mail, why not vote by email? How about vote by phone? If ANY method of scrutiny is considered a violation of the right to vote, then anything goes right? No restrictions!

The whole point is a trustworthy and peaceful transition of power. If that breaks down humanity will revert to forceful conquest. To undermine voting is to spill blood.

They were pushing all angles of electronic/computer voting pre-2016 very fiercely.

"Get rid of all that (Bush) Diebold stuff, millions of dollars for brand new (Soros) stuff!"

"Somehow" they didn't get the "96% chance of Hillary" they thought.

The desperate push for All Mail is specifically to shift off widgets they themselves were advocating but didn't manage to skew sufficiently.

"But there's no voter fraud!"

No one charges the guys "Finding" 10,000 ballots or "Losing" 10,000 ballots. Those are "Honest mistakes".

And the laws tend to hand out "Qualified Immunity" types of things to all the works-for-state types in here too.

If you are a mail in republican ballot...most likely in the trash.

I mean, FaceBook should just put a thumbs up next to each candidate. Let's do the election that way.

That's honestly what I feel like they're going to do eventually.

Vote by robocall might not be a bad idea? The machine can be vetted open source, so everyone can see it's fair and working properly and close any security holes. It calls registered voters. It tells you one half of your secret code so you know it's real, asks you to put in the second half of your secret code so it knows you're real, and asks you to push in your vote, and then asks to confirm your vote, in case you fatfingered the button. It adds the vote to its database, already counted, checks off your registration ID so nobody else can vote on it, and goes to the next registration ID. We can have votes counted in real time for the media, and since no human is involved they can't be rigging it.

And livestream the entire thing

No, that would compromise and dox people. You'd be able to match votes with phone numbers.

How can you have accountability without transparency?

How can you have freedom without privacy?

Are you trying to tell me that voting is a freedom? Voting infringes on freedom by definition.

You've got the causality of that sentence reversed. Privacy is a requirement for freedom.

You can't vote how you like if the brownshirt is watching over your shoulder to make sure you vote the right way. That's just the brownshirt having two votes.

We livestream it, Antifa grabs phone numbers of Trump voters, and heads out to the most vulnerable to beat them up.

People lie to the pollsters about voting for Trump because they face ostracism and abuse. Making their votes public instead of private means they start doing that with their actual vote too.

I understand what you're saying, I just don't think you understand what I am.
