I spent a lot of my childhood in South Dallas, most definitely don't move to South Dallas, hell to the no lol. You'll be better off in Oak Cliff than South Dallas (technically Oak Cliff IS apart of South Dallas), the Garland/Mesquite area is pretty nice with a very reasonable cost of living as well. That's where I plan on moving to next year. Honestly most of Dallas is liberal as fuck, nowhere near as bad as Austin or Houston though. I love Arlington/Mansfield though, very very nice out there.
Is Dallas better?
Only slightly.
FUCK THAT
Dallas made the tough decision to abandon downtown entirely many decades ago so kind of if you avoid a place you have no reason to go to anyways?
As long as you stay away from downtown and up north.
I was thinking about moving to Dallas and my girlfriend said "Don't move to the southside of Dallas". So North and South suck?

Thanks for the tips! Much appreciated.
