Nazis are a mix between socialism and capitalism, the guy who coined the term fascism, Benito Mussolini, literally called it corporatism.

The government controlling the means of production is a part of socialism, yes.
But the Nazis also did things that we're directly opposed by socialists of the times, and even today.
In Nazi Germany, you could go to church, own guns, and have private property, assuming you were the uh, "right person". I.e an Aryan.
Those three things, are all outlawed by most actual socialist regimes.
