I think one of the reasons Crowder does these things out in public (while remaining vulnerable to stunts like this) is that it's great optics to show the childish annoyances that the activist left engages in. It makes the protesters look petty and powerless (if not actually crazy, as has been the case several times) and allows Crowder to take the moral high ground.
