It’s a very interesting point you bring up, though. I’ve always heard it asserted that war is “‘good’ for the economy” (pretty terrible trade), and there probably could be something to that in terms of eventually paying off debt.
But when I look at the graph above I notice that in all but one case (War of 1812), national debt never really returns to pre-war levels. With the War of 1812 debt, it seems like this might have more to do with the Jackson administration (I’m not well studied on this at all and am just throwing it out there).

yeah It creates an alot of money but as a veteran I hope thats not true I know Trump will do his best to keep us far away from war.
