chapel hill and asheville are liberal cesspools
charlotte is a giant third-world riot always primed and waiting to happen
greensboro is a well known collaboration/staging point for muslim terrorists.
durham is a gangland hellhole (there's a documentary film about it) in denial, now filling with pretentious hipster IT types gentrifying the place, and Duke University (remember the Duke Lacrosse team false accusations?) in the throes of blaming whitey for every problem in the world (even though Duke is named after a slave owner). Raleigh has a democrat police chief who doesn't want to grant pistol permits (the courts forced him).
basically, I'm not a fan of the cities. rural NC is wonderful though and small towns <20,000 people can be incredibly charming.
Cary, NC is great. high taxes but the cost of a safe, clean city. tons of software and technology jobs in the area.
