Glad to see this here. I always felt like there was some secret rule that in order to support the 2nd Amendment you had to love the NRA. Something had always rubbed me the wrong way with the NRA.

Ignore the fudd down votes. The NRA only exists in it's current form to pad pockets. They've done essentially nothing to fight for our natural second amendment rights. WLP needs to go, if they decide to actually start doing something proactive then they deserve to get our money again.

Yeah they don't bother me. I think it would be a lot better to provide productive counterpoints than handing out downvotes. I'm all ears to hear and consider any argument regarding my statement as long as it remains respectful and constructive.

I've not been involved in any of these gun advocacy organizations in the past, although the 2A Foundation seems interesting. Reading the comments the best I can really find about the NRA if that it's better than having no NRA at all if anything as a boogeyman for the left. That is a perfectly valid point. In my experience I never got interested in the NRA because it seemed like just what you said--another one of those non-profits that's all about padding pockets in the name of something good.
