I almost cried watching that. I know that the city's always been kind of a shithole, but there's a difference between a well-policed shithole that's home to a lot of idiot leftists, like it was under Giuliani, and a Leftist Shithole. I lived close enough to be in NYC in 15-20 minutes, and it wasn't a place I could live, but it was still part of my home. I can't just pop into the city for a day and experience it anymore because of where I moved to. Shit, I can't do that anymore because the city I knew doesn't exist anymore.
I fucking hate it. That fake named faggot sack of shit has done his damnedest to ruin something unlike anything else in the world. I know that the comparison is kind of insane, but to me, it would be like growing up in Little House on the Prairie, and then one day you come back to work and everything's been replaced by Whore Houses on the Prairie.
NYC is pretty fucked, along with the rest of the cities. With people suddenly finally noticing that many/most people can work from home really easily the need for cities has suddenly disappeared. Few people want to live in expensive shitty places if they don't have to.
nations have poured trillions of $ into building cities. for years, it's been clear that 'smart' would be the opposite of pushing people closer to those cities, yet the left keeps encouraging/prodding people into cities by policy and calling it 'smart growth'. what a crock of crap.
many people indeed are noticing that they dont need to be anywhere near a city to do their work, which is a GREAT thing. also a GREAT thing when parents realize they can teach their own children instead of allowing the government to take their kids all day and indoctrinate them.
I was just in downtown Seattle yesterday, the place should be overflowing with tourists, instead it was like this. Boarded up windows, closed business, homeless sleeping everywhere and I had to step over shit twice in one block
More than 400 looters arrested in New York City, New York, riots this week will be immediately freed from jail thanks to Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s (D-NY) “bail reform” policy that eliminated bail for many nonviolent and violent crimes.
During the New York City protests Monday night, protesters attempted to stop Daily Caller reporters from filming a fight and arguments breaking out among the crowd.
And, post that set of riots, Manhattan completely boarded up end to end for blocks in all directions:
The city has seen a sharp spike in crime — already surpassing last year's 777 shootings as of Aug. 1 — while the city council and Mayor Bill de Blasio cut the NYPD's budget by $1 billion in reaction to the George Floyd protests.
Wow. This is unbelievable! It’s like something out of an apocalyptic movie or war video game. I haven’t seen this perspective on the media at all; really makes you wonder just how much they’re not reporting to keep the narrative alive.
Think about places less famous than NYC. Think of your hometown, suppose you and your family moved away and never came back. If your hometown got destroyed one day would you hear about it? A few months ago, I’d think of course I would. Now, I’m not confident I would unless I searched out the information periodically.
Here's the thing, and I write this as a West Coast lifetime and generations resident in darkblueland and a former dutiful Dem voter and Bernie supporter:
They NEED TO implode of their own failed policies and acceraltionism of the leftist and idpol and globalist agendas.
I am serious.
This is possibly the most critical step to allow to naturally occur. If it does, the actual rejection by huge swaths of normal mostly unengaged typical liberals and Dem voters of the MSM and political narratives and pushed social/fiscal/legal agendas will happen.
Without that process they never will. And will never understand what they have been supporting has directly led to this outcome.
Dealing with the concentration of lost people, the fallout and rebuilding, can happen later.
Will they actually make that connection, or just screech "capitalism has failed!" even louder? I'm in a state flooded with NYC expats, and they hate the locals with a passion, and have voted to turn my state into a leftist shithole, too.
I work on 5th Avenue, all those boards are down now. My building paid between 20 and 30 thousand dollars to a crew to board up the perimeter. Both streets and both avenues. Other buildings didn't board up because the windows are so strong. 450,000 dollars a pane strong. Bricks and bats cant break them. 3 layers thick.
The only caveat I'll say is I don't think every window with plywood was broken. But enough were broken that they felt the need to protect all those windows.
Take this to the top. Fly, little post, fly!
UNBELIEVABLE!...& sad 😞

Every good thing is dead.
Thank George soros and all of the other communists-
This is also funded by China and the Middle East.
War and destruction - without bullets.
Take a bite of the Big Apple... don't mind the maggots!
Or the cicadas
Posting a month ago. But I get where you’re going with this.
Thank you for the context! I just saw it today.

Womp womp
What's the time/date/day of the week?
rats leaving the ship to spread their liberal plague.
Dead business. Exactly what AOC wanted, since Capitalism is evil and must be destroyed.
So they're saying walls work.
This is what the democrats intend to bring nationwide.
Warren...hahaha. I see its catching on
Shithole! They'll make it legal to shit in the street next.
Unbelievable!

They rioted right up through 4th of July at least.
Here- I decided to do a full accounting on NYC, so here is a timeline from early June through current on protests and violence etc:
SEVEN hours of nighttime NYC footage:

LIVE: NYC Riots, Curfew in Effect
Streamed live on Jun 1, 2020
FOUR hours of daytime start NYC footage:

Streamed live on Jun 3, 2020 Observing the George Floyd protests in NYC
Then none arrested in early June are held, due to "bail reform":

Which was kinda unboarded-up with scattered open stores and sidewalk dining- but clearly dramatically still shut down:

And it continued in even more widespread violence:

People in Manhattan have been looting this country and shipping off as much as they could to China since the 1990s.
“You get what you fucking deserve”
Seems like an over reaction to those peaceful protests, no?

Great job deBlasio
Yep that's New York. Its actually worse the homeless are like zombie hoards, and every where you go it smells like piss or shit.
LA - cuts off water and electric
NYC - destroys wealth worse than a natural disaster
Chicago - basically just a Hitek shooting range
Portland and Seattle - communists
Major American cities are being taken out!!! Fuck!!

If unable to run? Maybe. Minimum 6 months with unavoidable in their face proof it is entirely local Dem problem.
Otherwise. No.
The true believers will never overcome their brainwashing though.
Fuuuuuuuuu
And your city officials did absolutely nothing ,what ashame 😟
Turned to shit hole by crazy leftists.
Unfucking believable! And of course not covered by the fake/corrupt news.
Fifth isn’t Fifth any more.
It’s last now, thank GOD.
Chicago was just as bad.
I did get a bit of a chuckle out of him saying "this is what the media will not show" and then driving by several news vans later.
But I do get and agree with his point
Good thing Microsoft is laundering money to BLM. Those boards have no graffiti on them at all!
Now we'll have a lumber shortage.
Seattle looks the same.
Wow absolutely astonishing. Somehow they still vote Democrat
What the fuck??? It looks like a post-apocalyptic movie!
So few people on the streets, so few signs of life.
I work on 5th Avenue, all those boards are down now. My building paid between 20 and 30 thousand dollars to a crew to board up the perimeter. Both streets and both avenues. I work in NYC. This was at the time of the riots , not today.
The same in LA, Video showed miles of destruction
The only caveat I'll say is I don't think every window with plywood was broken. But enough were broken that they felt the need to protect all those windows.
sad. such a cool place to visit when Rudy was running the show....not its like going to Caracas.
They deserve it for voting for these scumbag Democrats.
The city that never opens.
To be fair, they board up the windows for the Puerto Rican day parade also.
This is horrifying
