That....not how fiat currencies work. That's not how value works. That's not what wealth is, that's not how the Fed works. We moved away from gold, in part, because golds value is just as subjective as anything else.
Secondary markets exist for a lot of items, many of which have cash equivalents, but you can't punch the pillow down on one side and not have it pop up the other.
