N.C resident. I have yet to wear a mask anywhere despite the "you must wear a mask while shopping" paper taped to the door. I have only had one place deny me service because I refused to wear a mask, which was fine, I went elsewhere and got what I needed. Paid a couple dollars more but was worth it.

NC here too, I mentioned in a post a few days ago the only place to challenge me was the ABC store (state ran liquor store for you non NC people), and the man behind the counter tried to stop me by saying "sir..." when I walked in, but I ignored him and got my stuff anyway, when I went to pay, he asked me "where is your mask sir?", I said "I dont have one" and he just sort of grumbled "you need to get one to come in here" but he rang my shit up and I paid and left.

I didn't engage him about it one way or the other after he said that, I just stood there while he bagged it up.

Way I see, I am going to just pretend anyone who confronts me or tries to stop me like they don't exist, make the escalation up the them. If they escalate, I am still not going to engage, I will just ignore and keep shopping, If they get really really really bent out of shape I might pull my shirt up over my face and then keep shopping til they walk away.

Anything to deny their bullshit mandate, but i'm not going to cuss and scream like some people have been doing, just going to mind my own business.

Your a bigger man than I my friend. I've been waiting for someone to approach me and get in my business for not wearing the muzzle. And I'm going to kindly tell them to mind their own fucking business. But so far I've been respectful and try to give folks their space ( not social distancing but just not getting right up on em when I go down a isle ). I don't follow those dumbass arrows on the floor for shopping either. I love going down the "do not enter here" isles. As far as I can tell I haven't even received a dirty look. Now maybe it's because I'm a local and most the folks around know me by name and don't care what I do. Maybe I'm intimidating and people avoid me? Idk, I just haven't been wearing the muzzle and haven't had but one place tell I couldn't come in.

So far so good. As long as people leave me alone I don't give two pigs penises what they do.
