Had we developed herd immunity instead of delayed it, thanks for making the time it would be a memory.. it would have been crazy for three weeks, but then it would have been over. Slow the spread was a mechanism to destroy the economy intentionally. I'm convinced that this was something planned but was supposed to hit later, and the conspiracy of idiots botched it up.

Some countries did just this and are doing fine now. Sweden of course but the Netherlands is also pretty much over Covid.

I'm pretty sure it would look like we were pretty much over COVID-19 if we weren't testing so much, and the reliability of the tests should be considered, as well as the rates of asymptomatic and barely symptomatic cases.
