Note, however, they don't capitalize the 'W' in white.

For example, here is a direct quote from Fox News article:

Floyd, who was Black, died on Memorial Day in Minneapolis after a white police officer pressed his knee into his neck for nearly eight minutes.

This makes no sense to me. Why capitalize the 'B' in black? Is this some type of virtue signaling?

Thank you. The news agencies received their marching orders from Black Lives Matter.

It is because they consider all black people to be the same and they can be talked about as a group...Black. Of course labeling people rather than treating them as individuals just promotes racism, which is probably the intent.

From link:

...conveying an essential and shared sense of history, identity and community...

Just as Pedo Joe said yesterday, the progressives view the "black" community as a monolithic group - a Borg mindset. The very definition of racism.

Thanks. So, now the term for a hispanic is either "Black Hispanic" or "white Hispanic"? Very confusing.

Yeah its idiotic. I say black Hispanic and white Hispanic. But who knows, I am sure that the English language is racist as fuck. Or, is it english?

It is "white privilege" at the mainstream media to keep blacks down by pretending to give a shit about them. Much easier to capitalize a letter than showing that all Americans have equal opportunity and that ANYONE born in America is privileged compared to just about anywhere else in the world.
