i was talking with friends about the tiktok band and potential ban of Tencent and they though the move was going too far. I tried to prove China needed to be taken seriously but found my sources and evidence to be lacking. Sure i could mention tiktok harvesting data or professors being arrested, but they didn't get why hat's significant or more important than say race issues or domestic tech companies harvesting data. Thanks for any help.

Edit: For the record they are more right leaning politically.

China Uncensored on YouTube has been connecting the dots for years on the CCP. Good luck getting a leftist to try a source other than MSM even though CU is reading mainstream media articles.

China Uncensored often go on a tangent at the end about Falun Gong. Remember a lot of info a biased but for the most part I find that the first few news segments of China Uncensored are always pretty accurate

Hong Kong. Seriously, Hong Kong.

If your friends don't understand why it's a bad idea (to say the least) to allow a country that does to other countries what it did to Hong Kong to possess their credit card numbers, SSNs, call histories, text messages, emails, location data, browsing history, banking history, and more, then they are not very smart people.

First. Slap your teachers and sue your schools for refusing to teach you basic 20th century history. Start with Mao and the "Destroy the Four Olds" campaign as he ushered (tortured) his people into Marxist collectivism. It's EXACTLY what they are doing here now.

And remember - Communism is NOT a national system - it is a global system attempting to take control of the entire world.

Good luck. You're about 40 years too late.

Peace.

Unfortunately i'm talking about current events to justify the banning of Tiktok. Really i just said i'd be fine with them banning all video games owned in part by Tencent and they thought that was overreacting. So it's more why even small things like that should be banned.

We come from different worlds. If youngsters can't fathom how insidious and inherent an enemies spyware works - or even acknowledge that spyware exists - then, well...

But then again - you'll be arguing with 'people' who insist that men can have babies, gender is a myth and that 2+2=5.

Good luck brother.

Yeah, welcome to my world. They're even conservative politically
