Trying to get up the courage to delete my Facebook account next... I really like how it gets me in touch with my old crews over the years, as well as the face book market place and neighborhood watch groups... Makes it harder...

Anyone have any tips for taking the plunge?

LinkedIn has been great for getting me in touch with recruiters for employment... should I ditch them too? (MS)

just send those people your contact info and let it be. At the end of the day life is about moving forward. Looking back is ok once in a while. dont get caught up in it though. Just look at black people in america, many still think they are slaves lol

I closed then re-opened my linkedin after finding out that from a business standpoint it should be kept. But I hate linkedin. And if I did not get half my business from facebook contacts I would not be there at all.
From a purely SM standpoint life is much better without the stress of it but for business people it is a necessary evil. The saying about how if you have to choose between peace of mind and anything else, let the other thing go. Do the best you can with that.

Go through and select the people that you want to keep in contact with and message them that you are deleting your account and give them your phone number and email, asking them to either text or email you to verify that you have the right information.
