Ending WeChat is basically disrupting a massive amount of communication between China and the Chinese diaspora globally. In large part because WeChat is the defacto standard in the closed Chinese market.

I'm just realizing that a lot of the absolute deterioration in videogames was caused by Tencent-involved companies. China behind the degradation of another form of media. That's part of the communist playbook as well, to destroy art and entertainment by promoting the worst kinds.
If that's accurate, that's a whole lot of otherwise American properties that we can't use. I'm not complaining, just pointing it out.
Tencent isn't trying to infiltrate via every single thing they own. Like other megacorps, they buy up things that are profitable and use the proceeds to further their goals. Yeah, they may have subtle issues, but it's unlikely they're installing malware via Fortnite or League of Legends, for example.
If that summary is accurate, it basically shuts the door on any property even partially owned by Tencent. It will be interesting to see how the lawyers wrangle this one. I would imagine the final result will be forced divestiture.
You're misconstruing what I said. Owning various American IP is furthering the goals of the CCP, but not usually by directly spying on people. They are being used as funding sources primarily and then they lean on them to change their practices and use them as propaganda arms.

While nothing will happen to Reddit or Tencent-owned games today as a result of the current executive order (which is limited in scope) there is the very real possibility that if China doesn't back down, Trump could expand the order.
So right now anyone who has investments in Tencent properties, or even ones that Tencent has a stake in, is probably looking to divest as soon as possible. That means Reddit and others are going to start having some cash issues because almost all of them are not profitable and rely on investment to keep the ship afloat.

A good way to troll subreddits is to post the worst photos of poop, feces, scat porn nasty shit you can find. The key is to post the links as innocuous comments, but be sure to pick posts that are not trending up or heavily moderated. I had about 20 disgusting photos lambasted across some dumb commie subreddit awhile back...I'm not sure exactly how long it took for them to notice. but I do know they found one or two within a day but the others lasted at least a few weeks if not forever. If you are sneaky you can shit on all sorts of subreddits, fill 'em up

Somebody posted "front hole" links or screen shots, and the comments from whoever posted the original photos were there, too. After they'd gone thru w/ the operation, and "recovered" I assume you'd call it, they still sounded so depressed, not to mention the "visual". Smh.
