The hilarious hypocrisy and ignorance of these rioters wearing 3M Face Masks with cartridge filters is that the exaust is NOT filtered at all. It's literally worse for everyone around you (according to mask logic) for you to wear that vs a standard cloth or other facial covering.
I say this as a person who regularly uses the exact hardware they're wearing on a daily basis for work.
Literally no one wears it because they're trying to prevent spread. They're wearing it because they know they're supposed to and they're afraid of the social stigma of not doing it. Literally everyone mishandles their masks in front of other people in ways they absolutely must know are incorrect. If they actually cared about stopping spread they wouldn't do those things. It's entirely a social thing.
I can usually take mine off after going in and no one says anything. I've even seen cops in the store without masks on, and the few people without masks have passed them and the cops didn't say anything.
Then again I live in Alabama, so experiences probably vary quite a bit from mine.
