Abbot and many other republican govornors caved to the plandemic. Remember, conservatives are freaked out and scared over this virus, so it's politically expediant to play along but it is not morally right, economically right or constitutionally right for any of these govornors to do so. That's why, in my opinion, Abbot, Reeves, Hogan, and the lockdown republican govornors aren't too much better than the Cuomo's, newsoms, and witmers. Aside from the nursing home mass murders, of course...gotta throw that into the equation.
I think he's safe from the right, but is he safe from the left, I don't know. Trump will easily carry Texas this election but Abbot has caved to liberal criminals so why would conservatives be enthusiastic in 22?
As I said I understand Abbot with the pseudo science and the masks, but it doesn't make it right just because it may have been the popular opinion. I've been one of the most outspoken people on here against masking up from both a civil liberty and scientific perspective.
