My understanding is that the president can postpone/defer taxes but can’t forgive them. That would require Congress.
Paying people not to work is a perverse inventive. Rewarding them more for working is what we need. Payroll tax cut is great. Hopefully this will put incredible pressure on Congress. Trump will be able to campaign on, “if you don’t want to have to pay that back, vote Trump and republican!”
He does need to go more on helping us essentials out. Biden is going around claiming "He is our friend," Trump needs to counter that good and with stuff that will work or else Biden will swing some indy's away with that. Last thing we need.
I'm not super thrilled with the tax cut as my return won't be as big as I want next year so I hope something good comes out of it to make up if we can get Congress back.
Yes that would be true, if there was enough jobs for people to go back to. For those of us who live in smaller towns that's not necessarily an option. You think those people should just be screwed because the government decided to decimate the economy?
