Don’t be an idiot. 1) You don’t have to personally build the freeway- your community can collectively hire an independent company 2) the government is fucking horrible at getting bids and doing construction work because they’re corrupt. You asked a question and I answered it.
You want free shit, from the sounds of it. This has nothing to do with taxes and everything to do with freedom and self reliance. You won’t HAVE to pay for a road if you don’t want to, or a roof over your head or any other luxury in a free world.
You scoff so readily at a system that worked fine in this country for hundreds of years before a forced tax, yet you fail to recognize how horrible our current system is. Look at Hawaii- 20 years and 20 BILLION dollars to build a RAIL. A RAIL in a 40 mile long ISLAND. Think about that. Now all the foundation work and pillars erected are already starting to crack and crumble. It’s a disaster and YOUR tax money is paying for it.
Would you build a RAIL on an island measuring 40 miles across if you had control of where your money went? Think before you react.
Hold up, let me study freeway construction. Get real.

Collectively hiring a company, i.e. collective pooling of funds, that suspiciously sounds like taxes.

You’re right to be upset at the mismanagement of tax funding allocation, not the collection of taxes itself. Seems like you got it all twisted.
