My F150 stx was the same price new as the Toyota highlander that we traded in for it. I digress, both are very overpriced, but we like the truck much better. More power, 4wd, tons of space, and seats the same 6 people as the highlander did, and now we can pull a travel trailer which is why the wife wanted to trade her suv.
Don't get the 2021 f150, to much electronic gadgetry that can disable the vehicle and relatively low torque. Get something that can run without the gadgetry... the F250 with the older power stroke will go through them without being slowed down. Extra points for rolling coal.
Yeah, that diesel is a beast engine... my F150 has the gas v-8, anyway...nice truck! Lot of advancements in ride in the last decade. Thing rides like a Mercedes.
Some tech apparently keeps you trapped and unable to flee if someone stands in the path of your parked car. And eventually they will probably give their minions a device that disables your vehicle on the road.
that lane assist and adaptive cruise can actually be used against you if attacked. All they have to do is get in your way and slow down and the the lane assist, it's better to not be that distracted. As for the size. A fair point.
the point I was making was, there ars a lot of sensors not related to comfort in vehicles, many of which if they don't work right will disable the vehicle. The sensors relating to the adaptive cruise will not disable you directly, but outside influence can force it off the road.
i hate the soi bois too, but as a motorcycle rider it does suck when I have to drive behind someone rolling coal. If there is a purpose then I can try to be more understanding, but it seems kinda pointless. No need to pollute just for the fuck of it. You wouldnt just throw your trash on the ground would you?
I really wish I could trade in my Honda for the 2021 F150
Don’t sell your soul for truck debt. 50k for decent options is insane. Get a trailer for your SUV or even a car. 1/1000 of the cost.
Honda cucks the towing capacity for US suvs.
My exact same car in Europe has a 3500lb rating. Here it’s 1500lb and limited to class 1
Every European has a trailer for holiday and a sweet German made diesel wagon. E350 bluetec wagon is a fantastic car or an Audi avant
Honda likely doesnt change anything. US towing standards are more strict.
Maybe a bit less power due to emissions differences but I'd wager its largely to do with the ratings.
Assuming the SUV or car is also made in the USA.

How would a trailer help you run over commies though?
You can do it and yell “Im debt free!”

F250 is way too big tho and tbh I enjoy the tech stuff especially the automation features like lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control.

I have those features in the car i drive now. They can be disabled with a single button.
The lane keep assist actually has to be manually enabled every single time the car is started.
I do however understand the broader point you are making.
why roll coal?
Make them soy bois choke on that smoke.

Dont. We. All.
