That is 100% brandishing and I don’t believe Indiana is open carry. These people are definitely breaking the law.

Even in open carry states, brandishing is a crime. In some cases, even as a threat for self defense so always assume if a gun is drawn, it WILL be fired.

Brandishing is very clearly demonstrated in this photo, and that is not Legal. Felony Menacing is another stack on the Charge Sheet.

In Indiana, you can only open carry long guns. Everything else requires a CCW, but the CCW is shall-issue and free of charge.

that most people can get one in less than a week.

No, this is misinformation now.

Not saying you are WRONG, just misinformed, due to the change that made the LTCH free.

Wait time is approximately 3-4 weeks now, because of long lead time to get fingerprints, limited facilities to get fingerprinted, and a backlog in processing applications.

a CCW can not be in hand.

Correct, I was just clarifying the "not open carry" part of his comment

Indiana has a handgun license, not concealed carry, so open carry is allowed. Obviously this is not "carry", this is brandishing.

Open carry of handguns requires the license. The license also covers concealed carry.
