I'd like to see us be able to vote on the internet. If we can pay our taxes, complete census forms, and do all of our banking online, surely a tech company can make sure that voting online is fraud-free.
Why can’t every voter get a randomized hash code when voting on the internet as a receipt, and publish all the hashes with their votes so people can independently verify their vote and all votes combined

This is a very difficult problem to solve, and rife with constitutional issues.

How does that prevent someone voting on your behalf?
Not my sure, not sure how someone doesn’t vote on my behalf at the local ballot box either since they don’t check my ID :(
