China has a name for those western businesses, they call them "Sparring Partners". What they mean by that is they let you run in China so they can steal your technology for their own domestic companies.

If you want a business in China you almost always need to partner with a local Chinese firm, then they steal your tech and then kick you out of the partnership.

They have been doing this for years, yet most people don't even know. Instead businesses in the west fall for the propaganda that if you want to make things then China is the place. Pure bullshit, China is the place if you want to lose all your IP and have everything stolen from you.
