The police in Portland are a big part of the problem. The Portland Police are a bunch of bleeding heart liberal faggots. They babysit criminals and treat them like victims, they enable crime purposefully because doing something to stop the problems is against their financial interests, it'd cut into all that big overtime money they "earn". Criminals are job security for cops, why would the police ever want to get their sole justification for existence off the streets? Portland has been like this since the 1990s.
