Well of course jews were persecuted but the number is far, far lower than six million. Doesn't make it any better but there's something to be said for blowing the situation out of proportion in such a manner. What people fail to realize with all of these identity politics and groups trying to place themselves on the victim hierarchy the last ten years is that jews have been playing that game for hundreds of years. They've sought special privileges by painting themselves as blameless victims consistently throughout history.

People are more or less conditioned to panic at the hint of somebody acknowledging that though; as if it's totally normal to be able to question or doubt the intentions of any other group, but as soon as it's the jews everybody foams out the mouth, it's the modern day "Voldemort" as much as I hate drawing comparisons with fiction.
