That is just wrong. Dude did not move in an aggressive way at all, was complying with demands and the cop just killed him. I support police, defend them and often thank them for the job they do when I see them out and about. I will continue to do this, but this was completely avoidable and unnecessary.
Which ones was he supporting? The ones arresting paddleboarders? The ones arresting gym owners? The ones standing by as federal monuments are destroyed? Which ones?
No sir, not defending murder, which is what that was. I do recognize police have a very difficult job, they’re human, they make mistakes. Mistakes with guns are too often fatal. That was a tragic overreaction by that officer. No way that should have happened.
That said, society needs police. We don’t yet know anything about the people involved. I still support law enforcement, and I’m thankful for them.
Thank God these cops are here to protect us and use lethal force against a peaceful dude playing video games but are too dickless to protect major cities from thugs murdering and looting.
I thought about that too. Not to put it on the victim. Don’t get me wrong, he did nothing wrong, but he maybe could have done things different and the situation might have played out better. Not trying to come off like a Monday morning quarterback, but we should try to learn something from how this went so it can be avoided should any of us find ourselves in a similar spot.
With the tensions law enforcement are facing let’s be sure to put them at ease whenever we can. Like you said, peek out weapon hidden and confirm it’s actually the police. Last time I was pulled over I made my hands visible and let the officer know I had a permit and a weapon on my person, “How would you like to proceed, sir?” He appreciated me letting him know, and we both lived to tell about it.
Again, that doesn’t make what happened any better. Tragic situation could have been avoided entirely if neighbor twat had just sacked up and asked them to hold the noise down...it’s possible to do that and be polite.
Sorry to hear, whomever placed that call should be charged. Definitely reminiscent of those video game live streams "Swatting" from a few years back. People died in those and they eventually started charging the people placing the calls. Cops were mislead, leading to a completely unnecessary situation. The officer should have been more clear and said "drop it" instead. Happened very quick and the officer should have been more clear with instructions.
The apartment complex had some crime recently. Ryan had an argument with some people and then someone had been beating on his door for the previous 2 nights. When the cops beat on his door, he assumed it was the people who had been doing it. I assume he didn’t see the cops out the peep hole because they were hiding for cover. It’s such a bad situation.
I had my insane neighbor call the cops on me when I was playing Ass Cred Black Flag a few years ago. They bust into my apartment searched for a woman there who was supposedly being beaten, threaten to bring charges against a sicko like me, told me a bunch of lies trying to get me to confess, and then left and I never heard from them again.
I could see the shooting as justified - IF - the shots had been fired from the officer wearing the body cam in the first video (where it appeared the deceased had moved his gun behind his back).
However, the body cam in the 2nd video - with the officer who did shoot - shows that he can see the deceased persons hand and the gun and that the weapon was in the process of being dropped. Thus the shooting has no justification.
Police are stormtroopers plain and simple. Swat should only be used for an active gunfight. Police not doing actual police work and investigating these swatting calls is despicable. People are safer in China.
The second he noticed it was a cop he dropped to the ground and not once was the weapon raised towards the cops. This was a scared trigger happy cop.

Defending murder isn't a great look for conservatives.
How was he defending murder?
"I support police, defend them and often thank them for the job they do when I see them out and about. I will continue to do this..."
“But this was avoidable and unnecessary”
I'll try that in court next time I murder an innocent.
You’re a moron. He clearly was not defending that particular policeman that did this.
don't feed the trolls.
Havent you learned that libtards only hear what they want?

I agree, we need law enforcement. I just haven't seen any of that lately, and certainly not by cops.

Friend of a friend. Sad situation. No riots here in AZ though.

Prime example of "Let's flip the race of the victim and see what happens to our country!" But, he's white. So no riots.
Hard to watch. That should not have happened.

All of them need to go to jail.
