I was born and raised here. I love this state, but today some absolute bullshit happened. I woke up this morning excited because today I'm talking my daughter up to the mountains to see her uncle she hasn't seen in a year. We get everything ready and head out at 8:30 a.m.
We head West towards Loveland and straight through to Estes Park. Our plan, as we did last time is to drive through Rocky Mountain National Park so we could have some nice scenery to look at and it saves about 40 minutes compared to going south and then West on our shitty democratic run highway that's been under construction for 3 years.
We pull up to the gate to enter the park, and I have my 20 or 25 dollars or whatever the fuck it costs to enter, although i also pay taxes which go towards maintaining national parks, but hey what the fuck it's 20 dollars right?
That's when it happened. The little soulless cunt of an excuse of a human being asked me if I have a reservation. A RESERVATION to drive through a fucking national park?
Well I didn't have a reservation to use a road that my taxes supposedly pay for. I asked why I needed a reservation to drive through.
She said that it's because they were limiting the amount of people in the park at one time because of the Rona.
Here's the kicker though.
She said if we came back after 5 p.m. then we didn't need a reservation because as you all know the Rona virus takes evenings off. Don't forget the fact that I would be DRIVING THROUGH THE FUCKING PARK IN MY VEHICLE THAT HAS WINDOWS AND A FUCKING DOOR!

I haven't been in 5 years or so since It was the only place with an apple store anywhere near me. I went after work and you could tell the snobby fucks were getting physically ill from seeing the grease from working on my clothes
That was after it turned all trendy and California. Before and into the 2000’s it was a granola fest. The bars were grungy, the restaurants were old and anyone could go anywhere.
Now, it’s all been scraped and rebuilt with facades that don’t belong. When they tore down the crossroads mall, the transformation began. Now there’s a 50 year lease on the outdoor shopping at 29th street which brought all the snobby pricks with it. They brought a big town attitude and made things gay. There was always a lot of money in Boulder, but it was hard to tell from outward appearances. The people there today are pretentious, self righteous and don’t actually love the outdoors. You can spot them from a mile away.
