I was planning to go to an F1 race in Brazil with my family until F1 started supporting the group with Marxist values - BLM.

I stopped watching F1 about 6 years ago, I miss the days of trailering your own car. We need more people like Bruce Mclaren. The last independent to win a noooosecar title was Alan Kulwicki, to celebrate his heritage he would take a backward lap after winning a race, he called it a POLISH lap! Today they use a garage door rope as a catalyst for a FAKE STORY, just sad.

Nascar has been going down hill wayyyy before this crap. I didn't like it when they moved to fuel injection ( not a huge problem but I didn't like it. That's more a personal thing than a big problem ). Then Micheal waltrip, OMG, what a faggot. Does nothing but talk and talk and talk. Unbearable cunt. Then they keep changing the rules for the chase and each time it makes less sense. Then banning the Confederate flag ( you ain't gotta like it but you got no right to tell others what they can and can't wear or fly on their OWN vehicles. Besides, Nascar was born from bootlegger hillbillies and that was pretty much the flag they flew ). And now we get to the pandering. Insufferable. "Look at Danica Patrick! A woman driver! Look, a woman driver!". Ok, we get it, a lady is racing in Nascar. But she was still a shitty driver, no need to slobber all over yourself. Then comes Bubba Smollett. Noose attack! All of Nascar gets behind this guy to support him, then it turns out, he's just an idiot who wanted to see racism where it wasn't. And yet they didn't apologize to all the people they accused of being "sympathetic to racism" or "unwilling to see racism".

I was a lifelong Nascar fan. I have a cabinet FULL of Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt stuff. And now to see what it has become...is a real kick in the head. I just wanted them to race. Just race, that's all. I didn't care WHO was racing just as long as it stuck to RACING. Thanks for killing the sport assholes. Now your fan base hates you and the left ( who would never watch you no matter what you did ) hates you still. Congrats, you played yourself.

Don't get me started on that. Nascar was the pride of the south and was HUGE at one time. But the NFL was America's sport. That one hurt when they went commie. The Redskins vs the cowboys was probably the biggest rivalry in the sport back in the day ( imo anyway ).

NASCAR died with Dale Earnhardt.

Confederate flag ban and Bubba Smollett was the double-tap that put down NASCAR’s shambling corpse.

11
American-stormcloak 11 points ago +11 / -0

Died doing what he loved. Then I remember when Dale jr brought back the Wrangler 3 car for a race and "won". I said it then and I'll say it again, they let him win that race to try and push ratings. Then they let Austin Dillion bring back the 3 and that was, in my opinion, another dishonor. That number should have never come out of retirement.

And Richard Petty's 43 should have been retired as well. I don't know what happened to him In his older age but he has a terrible racing team. He has brought disgrace to himself now. I hate to see the Petty brand ruined by losers who can't drive or win. Almost like he just wants a car in the race but doesn't care if he wins or not, just as long as they don't have to repair the car.

My aunt was a huge fan (rest her soul). She’d be out of her mind right now. Unreal

12
American-stormcloak 12 points ago +12 / -0

Sorry to hear about your aunt. And yea, I'm pissed at Nascar. But it's been a long time coming and instead of correcting course they doubled down on stupid.

If I ran Nascar, my first priority would be to get the fan's back in the seats. I would do a throw-back race season. Everybody would get the old school muscle car bodies to race. Lower the ticket prices for the season to get the people back into the sport. I would dump the ESPN exclusive races and put them ALL on the regular networks for maximum coverage. And I would change the chase rules again.

5
Sticky 5 points ago +5 / -0

It should be based on production cars. Way more interesting that way.

1

I like the nationwide bodies. They have the muscle car bodies ( except Toyota, they got some other body, a Camry I think? ). The mustang and Camaro bodies look wayyyy better.

Bluestorm83 6 points ago +7 / -1

The Battle Flag of the Army of Northern Virginia. Not the Confederate flag. It's important to be accurate in our naming here. Because this specific flag was the flag of a man who defended his home land regardless of which side of the nation it sided with, and though he was on the "wrong side" he was in fact glad that slavery ended and even said that the abolition of slavery made the war worth it.

The actual "Flag of the Confederate States of America" can get fucked sideways a hundred thousand times in flag hell. It's the flag of Democrats who would destroy a nation in order to own human beings. But General Lee's Battle Flag is about being stuck in a shit situation and putting the people most important to you first.

1
American-stormcloak 1 point ago +1 / -0

Your right about the battle flag not being the actual Confederate flag, it's widely misrepresented and labeled wrong ( I do it too, as I just did above. Kinda like people call the AR an "assualt rifle* when in fact it's an "Arma-lite rifle". Common misconception. Sometimes we forget but it is important to call it by it's PROPER name. Thanks for the reminder ). And as far as I know the battle flag was the only one of the Confederate flags flown at Nascar and other southern themed events. It's rooted in NASCAR's history, apart of its culture and founding. They really stepped on their fan base when they banned it.

1
Bluestorm83 1 point ago +1 / -0

They stepped on anyone with more knowledge of the Civil War than "Slavery Bad." There's so much nuance to the various horrors and failings of all of America surrounding the civil war, that we all need to learn from. Nobody does, anymore. When you focus on "Slavery was Bad. Then we Stopped it. Good Ending," we neglect the huge blow to all of the powers of the states that would have prevented this horrible situation we have today. Was ending such a monstrous evil something we needed to do? Yes, it was. The original Founders wanted it done even sooner, as soon as was possible. Was leaving the gaping, bleeding wound in our constitution worth it? That's the problem. Because with the murder of Lincoln, and the failure to reinforce the rights of the States which legitimately can only spring from the rights of the individual, although the institution of slavery, which is to say a subservient race supporting the party of oppression, is gone, the SPIRIT of slavery is stronger than ever, as now a much, much larger population STILL supports the party of oppression, only now they do it WILLINGLY, as they cover their eyes and ears with their own hands, in exchange for a life of poverty and ignorance.

And that's why they want to remove General Lee's battle flag. Because learning the history of that ONE FLAG requires you to learn the facts that people on the side of the Confederacy were Americans caught in a shit situation who maybe saw what they thought was a greater danger, hiding in the shadow of an admittedly virtuous premise.

1
American-stormcloak 1 point ago +1 / -0

Very well put. When I went to school ( N.C, A SOUTHERN STATE ) we did reports on the civil war and it was just what you said it was, "slavery bad"and nothing else. They never mention the political party that sided with each other. They never mention the laws put in place leading up to the civil war and after. They never mention that some northern states held slaves legally while restrictions were imposed on the south. It was a one sided shot at the whole war. Our argument ( those of us who paid attention, at least the best we could with the shitty education system we had ) was always states rights, even though the state was making a huge mistake at the time. The federal government stepped in to put down insurrection and re-establish the union, but failed to give back the rights of the states. That war arguably did more damage to our Republic than probably any other action Imo. It has only gotten worse since those days, as more and more states lose power to an overreaching government. I partly blame the education system for failing our youth but then you have to account for the lazy youth that doesn't care or want to learn. Just go to school, make it through and get outta there.

1
Bluestorm83 1 point ago +1 / -0

Mm hm. It's like, I get why the Federal Government had to do something, as the order of rights from Individual to Locality to State to Union was being flipped upside down at the starting end, putting the rights of the States somehow above the Individual, implying that the States GIVE those rights to the individual. And then we ended up with the flip-side of that, where now the Federal Government somehow was deciding the rights of the states. Like, I believe that the Devil, Satan with a capital S, is a real thing. And I think that the build up to, the war itself, and then the AFTERMATH especially, was 100% Satan at work. Nothing did even HALF the damage to the current active source of God's Grace in the world, before or after. No other nation ever stood up and said "Your Rights come from God Himself, so stand into the role of a Human Being that He has given you," and we suffered what seems to have been a mortal wound from that whole debacle.

1
American-stormcloak 1 point ago +1 / -0

As a person who has flown a Confederate battle flag from like, age 9 or 10, even I agree something had to be done. I don't support slavery, in any form. Not modern day "programming and brainwashing" or actual slaves being held against their will back in the day. No man has the right to own another. Slavery was an evil that HAD to be exterminated and there should be no apologies about that. I even think that all happened how it had to for America to be the prosperous nation we turned into. If the south had been successful in breaking from the union and our country was split by the mason Dixon, we wouldn't be the superpower we are today and would be playing second fiddle to commies like china.

Now that being said, I still fly my flag with no shame. I am not a racist, and in this modern day that flag doesn't even mean the same thing anymore. The battle flag is much like the gadsden flag now imo. A warning or middle finger to bigger and more aggressive government. A display of defiance in the face of overreaching tyranny ( were almost there, just a few more steps to enact )There's plenty who disagree with me on this subject but I don't live my life to appease others. And everybody has their right to agree/disagree. Doesn't matter to me one way or the other. I love my country. I would die for my country if need be. We live in America! But I also love the subsection of my country now as "DIXIE". We have our own culture and way of life in the south that's not like anything else you'll see anywhere. Is there bad Apple's? Yea, just like every where has some. But mainly you'll find friendly people, ready to lend a hand and help you anyway they can. And gun culture lol. Lots of gun culture!

I think I started rambling Abit lol. But your definitely right about Satan having his hands in these works to destroy our nation. I, like you, also believe he is real. He has done many things to bring our nation down and drag us away from God. Now, as far as the civil war, yes, this so far, has been a horrible blow to our ranks and our Grace's towards one another and often stoked the flames of hate across our country throughout the decades. But the enemy we face now is FAR more sinister imo, the creeping menace of communism is clawing it's way through our government. And commies don't believe in a higher power, so they eliminate religion altogether. For a communist nation to be effective, it must not have something perceived as a higher authority than the government. The people must look to "government" as the solution. This is why they attack Christianity so fiercely here and everywhere else. I feel the end game is Nye. And it will be terrible.

My theory: traditional American sports are in decline due to changing demographics in America (foreign invaders due to 1965 immigration law changes).

So these organizations see two options: 1.) Continue as usual and see revenues decline forever. A death sentence.

2.) Attempt to grow the brand with new viewers. Proposed solutions? Pander to liberals, "minorities", and foreign viewers like the Chinese.

It seems like most of them are badly executing various plans from option #2. Or intentionally sabotaging American institutions in order to destroy our culture. Maybe both, I can't even tell anymore.

17
TruuthSeeker 17 points ago +18 / -1

100% spot on. They as in the left have been fundamentally trying to destroy American culture for decades. The Obama cash for clunkers wasn't about "saving the earth" it was about murdering the American Car culture, no place in the world has what we had. Car culture was American Culture. Sadly, I watched scrap yards load thousands of pre 80s "scrap", that went straight to china. Gone are the days of finding nearly complete cars in old yards. Even for parts. It was intentional.

To be fair, that can be a successful tactic. Take the WWF. When Vince Jr. took over, he geared the product toward casual fans and kids which pissed off older, traditional fans who didn't want to watch live action cartoons (and still continues to piss off internet smarks at this very moment).

Then in the Attitude Era, Vince Russo was writing the show for the average TV viewer at the expense of "real" fans. It worked for WWF/E because Vince is a mad genius who could sell ice to Eskimos, and they've usually avoided getting political (presidential impersonators aside, but Vince allegedly finds them HILARIOUS).

I think the difference is the maxim "give the people what they want," and NASCAR seems to think that people want a black face, any will do, on their TV. That seems to be a lot of people's approach nowadays, and ratings are telling.

16
siliconia 16 points ago +16 / -0

This seems the things that are happening to sports is a new iteration of adpocalypse.

It's occurred to me that China is purposefully dumping money into these organizations, but they are also forcing the hands of Hollywood and other areas, organizations, companies, etc. They're forcing them to be pro-China. The interesting part is that adpocalypse may have been part of a Chinese plan. It fits with their goals and the tactic is being used here and in other sports.

All of these organizations and companies are being controlled by threat and by reward of doing as they're told, but only because we let China interfere in our markets.

From my understanding (not a Nascar fan), Nascar is dying because the racers are becoming more unrelatable, the sport became "safer", and it went woke.

10
EricCIAmiredFella 10 points ago +10 / -0

There's multiple parts to this issue for NASCAR, as well as sports in general.

  1. The left hates America, her identity, and her traditions. So do the globalists. They’re rejoicing in our entertainment being destroyed.

  2. Appeasing the leftist woke mob. The leftist mob has got so many businesses in all industries unnecessarily afraid of bad PR. Rush Limbaugh has pointed out how the left has created these small groups that do nothing but call/write/online review businesses, giving the "appearance" of grass-roots Joe Q Public being offended at (insert issue-du-jour here). All they are is like a living bot-farm of people who harass and intimidate. Rush or his team investigated and found out one case example being a group of 20 activists who were responsible for harassing hundreds of businesses across the country. Rush really stresses to tell these people to go take a flying leap and stop being so afraid.

  3. Weak executive leadership. There's probably some in these executive boards in these sports who don't want to capitulate to the woke mob, but they’re too afraid of the racist label. Stand up for what you believe. Want to do things right? See Goya.

  4. Trying to "expand" the fan base to include these neck-bearded-moms-basement-dwellers and purple-haired-septum-pierced-feminazis. "See? We're so virtuous!" STOP. These people never cared, let alone liked sports before, this is a losing plan. Stop biting the hand that feeds you.

Bottom line-the leadership of these sports needs to realize that their viewers do believe that black Americans deserve the same rights as white Americans. Stop appeasing the minority left woke mob.

Let's be clear about when NASCAR's downward spiral began.

It wasn't when Bubba Wallace claimed there was a noose. Maybe he honestly believed it, or maybe he was an idiot or a liar, but that's just one guy.

It wasn't when the NASCAR racers walked in support of Bubba Wallace. That was premature, maybe a little dumb, and, in retrospect, mistaken. But it was done in the spirit of fellowship.

The point when NASCAR gave itself a potentially fatal wound is... when the drivers and other personnel started taking a knee -- after the truth had come out, and everyone knew that the noose story was fake news.

They showed that they are unpatriotic cucks, and they deserve to be shunned.
