You do receive a tangible benefit though. These executive actions significantly decrease the chance that America will descend into socialist hell. That's really important for all of us.
Would need to look into this further, but this is giving a holiday on the SS And Medicare tax paid on dollars 1-100k. You may still owe on dollars 100001-130k, but that first 100k may not see payroll tax
I think point 4 should have been expanded to "and no new admissions/recipients to the student loan programs"
Why keep the program running if (a) most of higher education facilities will be conducting classes online, and (b) many of those who received the loans are wasting the money on other, unrelated things? (seriously, booking a 4-day holiday package to Hawai'i or something similar is not what the program is for)
