That's how it always works. Same thing in other communist countries. They reward following orders with food and resources. It's why they would rather treat their own people terribly because if they don't they'll be on the receiving end of it.
If that happens it'll be their own doing. If you are going to defend criminals and refuse to enforce the law (do your job), then you're worthless to society. They wouldn't deserve our respect at that point. Not there yet but everytime we see domestic terrorism unchecked their credibility dips down. ESPECIALLY after the new George Floyd body cam footage. Every cop should feel vindicated and go start cracking skulls and arresting people like they're paid to do. No one feels bad for these criminals except other criminals.
