Would you believe I've never played a video game post-Sega Genesis 16 bit era ?

Life is too busy for video games. I can barely find time to sleep let alone play video game.

I hear ya, brother. I do enjoy playing Chess Titans on my computer at lunch though.

Hoyle made a Board Games suite that let the cpu be different characters that would talk after each move you made. Early training in triggering NPCs

Sega Genesis? Is that because Nintendo games of the era were too easy?

(FD: It's a lot harder than it looks, lol! It's actually a security hack that entails a rat's nest of controllers with taped-down buttons in addition to kicking off the red shell at the exact pixel he did and causing the duplicated Yoshi's egg fragment to disappear on an exact frame.)

No one asked, nor do they care.
