Getting emergency supplies is something that should be done before the emergency. If you've waited till now, you're up a creek.
I was looking at body armor in June. Every company I found online had at least a 3 month wait between ordering and delivery.
I took my folks to a range to teach them about guns (I'm informally the family gun expert) and when we got there they said they didn't have enough ammo to let us use their rentals. And then of course they didn't have any guns on the wall we could buy and walk out with.
Emergency food stuffs have been basically on back order since the Corona started.
In 2019, all "preppers" were weirdos and nutcases. In 2020, preppers are everybody's best friend and local hero.
On that note, I actually had a mask stash of nice made in USA stuff that was over a decade old in the prepper closet. Past the nominal expiration dates, but had been in a climate-controlled basement, everything seems fine.

Can confirm. Purchased a plate carrier with plates, from an in-state merchant, and it was still 8-10weeks. Still waiting. My sister's family purchase their first handgun yesterday, in Texas, and the least shitty handgun available was a Beretta M9, no ammo available.
I've got my own stock of emergency supplies, food, brass, etc.
"If you've waited till now, you're up a creek." Nah. You can still get firearms, ammo, long-term food and water today. It's just takes longer to find some of those items right now than it did last year. Businesses want to supply you. It just takes a minute to catch up with increased demand. Yea, those who waited made a mistake, but it's not too late for them to get these items.
I don't know a single "prepper" that I should refer to as a hero . If shit hits the fan and I need to feed my family the preppers house is the one I'm hitting first . People who run their mouth about their supply's are fucking morons
Really? I would go to the home where I know they aren't locked and loaded ready to shoot the first person who came through the door. But that's just me.
I loudly make fun of all preppers in public for being crazy nuts. A quick follow up with how I’m definitely hitting their place when SHTF. Opsec pedes.

Hopefully people will learn from this year.

So you'll be the first to die then. They're ready for you. They always were. That's literally the point of being prepared.

Yeah people who brag about their prepping are fucking morons
