You are not wrong, but I think what really humiliated him was that he had just given his gf hundreds of thousands of dollars so she could keep her young accuser quiet, all the while publicly proclaiming his undying love for her in public, only to have her not only cheat on him but do it in public and in front of a paparazzi so that the whole world knew about his humiliation. I realize that objectively his fame and wealth could have gotten a bunch of better replacements, but a lot of times when people are pushed over the edge by a sudden blow like this, they are just not thinking clearly. My neighbor's twenty year old son hung himself because his gf dumped him. He had his whole life ahead of him, and lots of time to find a new woman that wanted to be with him. It's not logical, most of the time.

As for being gay, I can only say that my gaydar went off everytime he talked. He had the look and mannerism of a closeted gay. Of course if he had come out it probably wouldnt have hurt his career, but some people just can't accept themselves. Add the emotional turmoil of his humiliation and I think that his suicide is plausible, unlike for example, Epstein.
