There are plenty of studies addressing the nature vs nurture argument. Even when minority children are raised in white, "privileged" families, they, on average, don't exceed the average IQ observed in the real world.

That Washington, Jefferson and Lincoln were great men who contributed positively to the advancement of mankind. Race is not culture.

The entire point of "don't judge a person by the color of their skin" is that skin color is just the immediate, obvious indication of a person's race and therefore the easiest way to make an immediate (and therefore, perhaps incorrect) judgement - not that skin color is literally the only difference.

That period of colorblinded, post racial America until the mid 2000s was just affecting one group - white Americans.
