His girlfriend is allowed to have a stack of weapons piled to the roof in her living room. Additionally, he is allowed to give his girlfriend firearm training at any time, even if he were a convicted felon he still is allowed to teach her. Someone breaking into the house sounds like the perfect time for a lesson.
