My money is on this scenario: the Trump campaign has 2 folders held in abeyance. If Sleepy Joe picks Susan Rice, within 24 hours a flood if news about Benghazi, Obamagate, etc. Gets pushed into the news cycle. If Floppy Joe's team announces that he picks Kamala Harris, then a similar flood of news re: Jusdie Smollet, the Kavanaugh hearings, her prior dirty deals as a prosecutor, etc get pushed into the news.
