How many people do you think realize that EVERY member of Congress (ie the House) is up for re-election every two years - yes, all 435 of them every two years! Seriously, how can so many of them have been there for 30, 40, 50 years? It truly is unbelievable how broken down the system has become. I under gerrrymandering districts and election money, but have ‘we the people’ dropped the ball and become apathetic by letting these idiots get re-elected over and over. Are there no better representatives than the 435 people we have sitting in there now? I wonder if there is anything that we could do on a large scale to educate people and help in courage a system that would promote more turnover...

Beautiful to see. I wonder if there is anything we can do as a group/movement to encourage more of this going forward...not just this election, but future elections. I always thought the initial idea was that the best our society had to offer - doctors, scientists, business owners, farmers, etc. would take two to four years off to give back to their country in Congress and then exit to go back to their previous work...
