School me, folks.
I'm a long-time resident of Virginia's capitol. It's a beautiful state, but I'm afraid I'm absolutely sick of the humid/swampy 6 months out of the year. The wife and I dream about having snowy winters again (she's from upstate NY but no way we're ever going to that state). The fantasy of leaving Virginia is even stronger when I think of our idiotic governor, increasingly-woke schools, and the growing cancer that is Northern Virginia (like D.C. but even more annoying).
Is NH as nice as I've been told? I understand that they're great on 2A rights and home to plenty of conservatives & libertarians. You get plenty of winter weather and you can enjoy the summer months without risk of heat stroke. What am I missing? It seems that NH's property taxes are stupid-high. What else?
i'm a HS teacher! i want hang out for another year (2 max) and then either teach internationally or move to a colder state with natural beauty. eventually i'd love to work with others to open a private school for classical education. it would feature a hyrbid of online & in-person schooling. no commie agenda, ever.
Tough job--thank you for being a teacher! And I wish you success in your escape!
thank you! it's only tough when Admin refuses to punish the occasional disruptive student. most of my kids are kind and curious; many are based and redpilled (although i act as if i don't really know what that's all about).
