Barr has a good grasp of everything that has happened; but is clearly too principled to turn the Dems own weapons back on them. That is, he will go with indictments he can prove but not weaponize the justice system to destroy Dems in the way that they do to us.
Commendable on one hand; but asymmetric warfare on the other.
Yeah I'm getting that same sense. This is disappointing to me. The media will say he politicized the indictments regardless, so just fucking do it!!! We'll die being the most principled people. It's too cucked for me.
The federal justice system takes too long -- years and years, if not decades. Many will be military tribunals. Bush/Obama enacted the domestic "enemy combatant" statute. Trump renewed it and enlarged Gitmo. Court TV reappeared. A brand new cable was laid from the mainland.
yep pretty much. I'm conflicted because on one hand, he should go after the traitors and throw em in jail. On the other, we should not weaponize and politicize the justice system. That being said, the democrats will never accept the latter, when they are in power. Sad.
Yep. It took me until fall of last year to realize there would be no indictments for those top 15 or so names we all knew about since 2016. I give it another maybe 30% chance that a single indictment will be handed to one of them by the end of 2024.
I was referring more so to Obama's indiscretions. It's quite the conundrum. Say you have proof, enough for a court of law but bendable in the court of public opinion that Obama + team spied on the Trump campaign. Do you arrest Obama+team just prior to the election? See, if it's true, then Obama+team should be tried for treason. The thing is, if you do so, you look like a third world Pakistani dictator... which could fuck you with the independent vote. It's a delicate game. I think we all know he did it, the only thing left to see is what Trump+Barr+Durham end up deciding to do. Maybe they could spin it into an "October surprise", where they announce some kind of criminal conspiracy.

If the media is involved, they should go after them first, get the fire storm and shit over and then follow with political arrests.

150 National Guard just deployed to Guantanamo today.

They would all implicate Obama so nothing will be done.
true 100%
I agree, especially with Ilhan Omar.

It's not being weaponized if crimes were really committed
Which they were
Does weaponize equal asking who gave you the orders to do this?
You don’t take a butter knife to a gun fight.
