Says the guy with a smart phone next to his brain and pocket, vaping, soaking up toxic misinformation, 12 hours sitting per day on tv or video games 11 hours sleeping, 1 hour between walks to the bathroom and couch, not wearing sunscreen, eating junk food.
Everything does long term damage. Cost of doing business on this little planet. Feel free to end it early with a quick jump off a bridge if that's too much for you to handle because we all exist to find a balance of suffering and joy, hopefully being a great person before the eyes of God.
Does the flu cause long term damage? Do colds? Does anything? Does everything? Does nothing? Literally fuck yourself you triggered my sorry ass while I'm taking a shit causing long term damage to my asshole from wiping too hard.
I vape like a chimney, consume copious amounts of caffine, I'm in the sun all day, keep this smart phone too close to my balls, did copious amounts of high powered sedatives and stimulants for various lengths od time via my nostrils and lungs...got my bell rung doing MMA and kickboxing for 3 years and eat a HIGH fat diet.
I take advantage of my insurance by getting checkups, bloodwork, don't fuck hookers or shoot dope and stay sober. And by the grace of God I get to work actively outdoors here in FL.
And I'm not God, so I don't know when I'm going to die, or how, and how those choices I made will, or won't contribute-but sitting on my ass locked in my house because I'm scared of dying isn't adding anything to anyone's life.
"Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life"?
My healthiest grandfather died at 69. He walked and got exercise. Ate right. Did all those things you are supposed to do. Still got sick and died. My other grandpa drank beer. Loved frequenting bars. Smoked. Ate junk food. Did not sleep much. He did everything you aren’t supposed to do. He fell off his toilet and died in his mid-eighties.
You don't have damage to your immune system, you have damage to your organs if anything. However, the same organ damage can result from ANY bad infection.
Look at pneumonia, it's far deadlier all the time, yet no one bats an eye over it. Did you know that Legionnaire's Disease carries an average mortality rate of 15%, and it's over 25% when acquired in the hospital? LD has a mortality rate that makes COVID-19 look like a joke, yet, when's the last time that we recall shutting everything down and going apeshit over it? I mean, hell, I tell people that I had LD and they act like it's no big deal, but tell someone you have acquired COVID-19 and they'll treat you like you're spewing aerosolized AIDS everywhere.
What if "survivors" have long term damage to their immune system months or years from now?
I refuse to live my life in fear. Damage from ALL viruses could occur, I will not live in a bubble.
Yeah we better all hide until we find out.

Well said! And I hope your neighbors don’t have long term damage from breathing in the fumes from that shit...
My best friend lost his leg in a car accident. A drunk driver ran a red light. Should we all stop driving cars?
Everything is a risk.
